A great day for a walk at Duke Gardens, one of my favorite places. A few varieties of camellias were blooming. I had never seen a peony type center before. It was a lovely deeper red color too. Mmm. The himalayan yew also caught my eye as a great evergreen. It was too short a walk but I'm so glad we made the trip. We're going to have to go back in May when peak bloom is happening.

yes, it's true! lovely red peony-camelia!!! sure this Duke gardens are perfect to go for a walk :))
