Blackbirds
Blackbird singing in the dead of night.... or midday if you will. I wish I would've recorded them on video, mainly so you could hear them. Stuart heard them all the way back in our greenhouse field and he initially thought the noise was coming from some sort of squeaky combine cruising along. There were thousands of them and I've never seen or heard anything like it. It was AWESOME.
Very cool lets hope they don't land in your garden! I was at lake Mattamuskeet once and saw 10s of thousands of Red-winged Blackbirds mingling in and out of corn fields grown for the ducks to feed in.
We have the huge flocks of blackbirds in Seaford (Virginia) as well, reminds me of The Birds. When they land there are so many it covers our yard, then when they take off...wow! Great song to go with your post.
